Colorado College advanced to the semifinals of the 2009 Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference Volleyball Championship with a 25-17, 15-15, 25-11 victory over tournament host Oglethorpe University on Friday night.

Junior middle blocker Emily Perkins led the Tigers with 11 kills. Freshman outside hitter Laura Goldsmith had 12 digs, while junior middle blocker Erika Pirotte had a hand in five blocked shots to pace the defense.

The Tigers improved to 32-3 and extended their current winning streak to 11 matches.

CC plays DePauw University on Saturday at 1:30 p.m. The championship match is scheduled to start at 8:15 p.m.
