Greg Infantolino, coordinator of the Human Performance Center at the National Strength and Conditioning Association’s headquarters in Colorado Springs, will serve as strength and conditioning coach for the CC hockey team in 2009-10 after assisting in that capacity for the previous three seasons.
During Infantolino’s four years with the team, the Tigers have won the MacNaughton Cup as WCHA regular-season champions in 2007-08 and earned two NCAA playoff bids. Colorado College has been using the NSCA facilities, located just south of the World Arena, since 2004.
“This is a great opportunity for me to take over and put my own flavor and spin on the program,” said Infantolino, who succeeds Mark Stephenson on the CC staff. “I’m really excited about the upcoming season and the new challenges ahead.”
Originally from East, Greenwich, R.I., Infantolino is a certified strength and conditioning specialist (CSCS) as well as a club coach with USA Weightlifting. He graduated from Union College in 2004 with a bachelor’s degree in psychology.
