Alexa Dougherty, who recently completed her stellar career as a member of the Colorado College women’s lacrosse team, has been selected to play in the IWLCA/Under Armour North-South Senior All-Star Games.
Dougherty is one of 40 women selected to play in the Division III contest, which leads off the triple header on Saturday, June 13, at the United Sports Training Center in Downingtown, Pa.
A native of Lexington, Mass., Dougherty finished the 2009 campaign with 17 goals and 19 points while helping the Tigers post double-digit victories for the fourth consecutive season with a 10-5 record.
Dougherty, a four-year starter at attack, wrapped up her career with 56 goals and 20 assists.
Players were nominated by their coaches based on availability and were selected by virtue of their playing career.
