Colorado College had four players finish with double-figure points, but the Tigers still came out on the short end of an 82-61 decision against Chadron State College on Saturday in the Adams State Bankers Classic in Alamosa, Colo.
The Tigers stayed within striking distance for the first nine minutes, but the Eagles went on an 18-4 run during a span of 7:46 to build a 40-17 lead with 3:22 remaining in the first half.
Chadron State extended its lead to 25 points early in the second half and the Tigers would get no closer than 19 points with 10:01 to play and again with 6:14 remaining in the game.
Tyler Coffman led CSC with 12 points, while Moala Tautuaa added 11.
The Tigers (1-3) will play the third of five consecutive games against Division II opponents when CC travels to Regis University on Tuesday night.
