Green signs with Colorado Ice

Max Green
Senior place-kicker Max Green signed with the Colorado Ice of the United Indoor Football Association and will make his professional debut on Friday night when the Ice plays host to the Billings Outlaws at the Budweiser Events Center in Loveland, Colo.

Green converted on 11 of 12 field goal attempts and 15 of 19 extra points during the 2007 season, and 26 of 32 field goals and 71 of 84 PATs during his career at Colorado College.

“Max is one of the best kickers Colorado College has ever had and this is an opportunity he earned,” said head coach Bob Bodor. “I expect him to do the same thing he did for us for four years … kick with incredible accuracy and consistency. Coach Bruce Derington did a tremendous job and he really deserves a lot of credit for Max's success.”

Green led the Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference in field goal accuracy during the 2007 season, ranked second in field goals made and third in scoring among kickers.

Green was named to the second-team on both the all-SCAC team in a vote by the conference head coaches and the All-Colorado Football Team by the Colorado Chapter of the National Football Foundation & College Hall of Fame.

Green will graduate on May 19 with a degree in International Political Economy.
