CC stumbles at University of Tulsa

Golden Hurricane steals 1-0 victory

Limited to one shot on goal for the entire match on Sunday, the University of Tulsa made it count.

Alyvia Rogers' unassisted tally early in the second half lifted UT to a 1-0 victory over Colorado College in Conference USA women's soccer action at the Hurricane Soccer and Track Stadium.

The visiting Tigers held a decided territorial edge, finishing with a 6-1 advantage in corner kicks, but lost most of their momentum once Rogers sent a 16-yard blast from the left side past freshman keeper Caitlin Hulyo at the 49:09 mark.

The triumph was just the second for the Golden Hurricane in 10 all-time meetings with Colorado College, which plays its next four games at home after dropping three of four decisions on the road the last two weekends.

CC, which fell to 7-3-1 overall and 1-1 in league play, launched all three of its own shots on goal in the first half en route to being whitewashed for the third time this season. Kendall Harclerode backstopped the shutout for Tulsa, which improved to 6-4-1 and 1-1 in C-USA.
