Nick Rose scored 29 points to lead Colorado College to an 81-58 victory at Macalester College on Monday afternoon.
The Tigers closed the first half of the season with a 6-3 record, while the Scots slipped to 2-6.
Colorado College scored 33 points off turnovers and 33 points on three-point shooting.
Rose led the CC offense for the seventh time in nine games and scored 22 or more points in a game for the sixth time.
The junior guard buried five of seven three-point attempts, his best effort from behind the arc since making eight of 10 against Western State College on Nov. 29, 2008.
Rose also had a team-high six rebounds, three assists and two steals.
Jarrell Sweet had 15 points, reaching double figures for the sixth time this season, and added six assists and four steals.
The Tigers scored 21 points off 15 Macalester turnovers during the first half, and then scored 24 points on 8-of-13 three-point shooting in the second half.
Colorado College made a season-high 11 three-point baskets. CC's .492 shooting percentage was its highest this season as the visiting team. The Tigers shot .500 against Crown College on a neutral court.
Macalester trailed 65-51 when Jerry Kaus scored with 7:10 remaining in the game, but Colorado College closed out the game with a 16-7 run to record its largest margin of victory this season.
The Scots pulled to within 11 points on a bucket by Kaus during the opening minute of the second half, but that was as close as they would get. The Tigers maintained a double-digit lead throughout the second period and went ahead by 18 points midway through the second frame.
Macalester stayed within striking distance during most of the first half and trailed only 30-24 after Pierce Peters converted on an old-fashioned three-point play with 2:43 remaining. CC took control of the game by scoring nine of the final 11 points to build 13-point advantage after 20 minutes.
Peters led the Scots with 14 points and eight rebounds.
Colorado College is idle until Jan. 2 when the Tigers resume Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference play at Southwestern University.
