Box Score CooXooEii Black scored 16 of career-high 22 points to lead the Colorado College men's basketball team to a 60-48 victory over the University of Wisconsin-Superior in the season opener for both teams on Friday night in the UW-Stout Tip-Off Tournament.
Black connected on 10 of 17 field-goal attempts, including two of three from behind the arc. The sophomore forward also grabbed a team-leading six rebounds.
Playing in his first game in almost a year,
Bobby Roth was nearly perfect while scoring a career-best 11 points for the Tigers. The senior guard made all four of his shots from the floor, including two from three-point range. Roth also had a pair of rebounds, dished out an assist and recorded a steal.

A layup by junior forward Vid Milenkovic pulled the Yellowjackets to within seven points early in the second half, however Colorado College broke the game open with a 19-8 surge and its biggest lead when Black scored with 4:33 remaining to make the score 53-35.
UW-Superior trimmed its deficit to eight points with 29 seconds to go, but the Tigers sealed the victory by making four of five free throws.
Senior guard Shaq Coleman led the Yellowjackets with a game-high 20 points, while junior forward Colton Williams added 11 points.
Milenkovic finished with a game-high nine rebounds for UWS.
CC will play host UW-Stout in Saturday's tournament championship game at 3 p.m. CT. The Blue Devils defeated Marian University, 84-77, in the second game of the night.
