Box Score CooXooEii Black scored 16 points to lead five Tigers in double figures as Colorado College wrapped up the 2017 Rocky Mountain Thanksgiving Classic with a 71-51 victory over Sarah Lawrence College on Saturday afternoon.
Black, who was named to the all-tournament team, made six of 10 shots from the field and four of five free-throw attempts. The sophomore forward also grabbed three rebounds, dished out a pair of assists and recorded two blocked shots and two steals.
In his first game since suffering a broken nose during CC's victory at the University of Wisconsin-Stout, senior forward
Chris Martin scored 14 points and grabbed seven rebounds.
The Tigers also received 11 points from senior guard
Eric Houska, senior forward
John Hatch and sophomore guard
Sean Stem.
Houska also recorded a game-high seven assists for Colorado College, which improved to 3-1.

Ryan Young grabbed a team-leading 10 rebounds.
CC scored the final six points of the first half to take a 34-25 lead after 20 minutes, and then Black keyed an 11-0 run to open the second half which gave the Tigers a 20-point cushion for the first time.
Colorado College took its largest lead of the game at 54-29 on a Martin layup 8:40 into the second half, but the Gryphons answered with a 15-0 run to cut their deficit to 10 points on a three-pointer from sophomore guard Justice Nikkel with 9:04 to play. Â
Just when things started to get interesting, Houska's pull-up jumper in the lane ignited an 11-point run that gave the Tigers control of the game.
Senior guard Malin Segal, also an all-tournament selection, connected on four of 13 three-point attempts and led the Gryphons with 13 points.
Sophomore forward BJ Sanders recorded a double-double with 10 points and 12 rebounds for Sarah Lawrence, which dropped to 0-5.
Senior forward Kevin Grow, who led Carleton College to a 2-0 record, was named MVP of the Rocky Mountain Classic.
Also earning a spot on the tournament team were Elijah Henry (Millikin University), Matthew Stritzel (Carleton College) and Carter Voelker (UW-Platteville). Â
CC is idle until Friday, Dec. 8, when the Tigers visit Whitman College in Walla Walla, Wash.
