Biography
2012: Junior placed fifth in the 800 meters with a time of 2:20.81 at SCAC Championships and a recorded season-best 2:20.13 at season-ending Occidental Invitational.
2011: Did not compete.
2010: Steinsiek earned the Rookie Award after bringing her 800 meter time down to 2:28.26 from the CU Invitational to a 2:19.9 at the Occidental (Calif.) Invitational…was also a member of the 1,600 relay squad that surprised many teams this season by placing fifth overall at the Conference championships.
Before Colorado College: Steinsiek helped Winnetka HIgh School win an Illinois state track championship in 2009 after previously claiming league titles in 2006 and 2008...also a basketball and soccer player at Winnetka, she earned a total of 12 varsity letters as a prep...named first-team all-state as a sophomore in 2007.
