2012-13: Won the consolation final of the 100-yard breaststroke at the Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference Championships with a clocking of 1:04.34 … Set a season-best time in the event with an effort of 1:03.85 in the preliminaries … Took 12th place in the 200 breast in a season-best time of 2:25.53 … Also finished 14th in the 500 freestyle with an effort of 5:12.97 … Posted a season-best clockings of 1:59.66 at the Air Force Duals on Oct. 29 and 11:58.65 in the 1,000 free at St. Thomas University on Oct. 26.
      
2011-12: Lowered his season-best time in the 200-yard breaststroke by nearly 14 seconds at the Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference Championships, finishing 17th with an effort of 2:23.83 in the preliminaries … Also posted a season best 5:13.07 in the prelims of the 500 freestyle … Earned a second appearance on the SCAC’s Honor Roll for excellence in the classroom.
     
2010-11: Did not compete.
   
2009-10: Placed 16th in the 200 butterfly at the SCAC Championships … Finished 13th in the 200 fly at the Colorado College Classic … Placed 16th in the 200 individual medley and 500 free style at the CC Classic ... Earned a spot on the SCAC's Honor Roll.
   
Before Colorado College: Genz lettered three years at Northglenn High School, earning team MVP honors and finishing sixth in the 500 freestyle at his league championship meet as a senior.
