Instructors

Sean Woods, Head Coach

Woods is in his third season as head coach of the Colorado College men's lacrosse team. In 2013, he led the Tigers to a 13-5 overall record, the program's second appearance in the NCAA Tournament and a fourth consecutive Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference regular-season title. In its final game of the campaign, CC won the Locker-Stabler Cup for the third year in a row with an 14-7 victory at Whittier College.

Prior to being named head coach at Colorado College, Woods held the same position at Mars Hill College, where his teams won three consecutive Deep South Conference championships (2009, 2010 and 2011). Woods was named conference Coach of the Year  three times (2007, 2009 and 2010) and his Lions were ranked third nationally among NCAA Division II schools in scoring offense and fourth in margin of victory.

In 2010, Mars Hill finished with a 10-4 record, was ranked 9th in Division II and was in the nation’s top 10 in both offense and defense.

Woods started his coaching career at Brown University, where he was an offensive assistant and goalie coach during the 2002 and 2003 seasons. He helped lead the Bears to a second-place Ivy League finish in 2002.

In 2004 Woods joined the staff at Division III power Washington College in Chestertown, Md., where he was the offensive coordinator as well as the recruiting coordinator. During his tenure at Washington, his teams posted a 41-13 record and made appearances in the NCAA Division III Final Four in 2004 and the national quarterfinals in 2006.

Mark Miller, Assistant Coach

Miller, a two-time all-conference goalie at Division II power Adelphi University, is in his third year as assistant coach at Colorado College. Prior to his arrival in Colorado Springs, Miller was the head coach at TCU and Co-Director of Maximum Lacrosse Camps.

Additional Staff

Current Colorado College players and other top players and coaches from around the country will be instructing throughout the week.

Facility

This year's training sessions will be held on Washburn Field, the oldest college football facility west of the Mississippi River and home of the Colorado College men's lacrosse team. Since CC’s first home football game in 1898, the field has undergone its share of facelifts. But the natural grass, a fixture since 1908, is gone, was replaced by a brand new,state-of-the-art AstroPlay artificial turf. The project, which cost nearly $850,000, has literally created a “field of dreams” that not only makes Washburn Field more versatile as a venue for numerous recreational activities, but also safer for the athletes who compete on it. The campus bookstore will be available for all campers.
