Biography
2012: Junior placed fourth in the SCAC Championships in the 1,500 (4:57.93) and ran a personal best time of 4:51.33 at season-ending Occidental Invitational…Her time of 19:27.8 in 5K a week before was a personal record as was her time of 2:28.5 in the 800… teamed up with Nikki Steinsiek, Annie Taylor and Molly Hayden for a time of 4:14.39 in the 4x400 relay for fifth place at SCAC meet.
2011: Wang shared the team’s most-improved award with Nina Roumell as voted by the team after shifting from sprints to middle distances ... trimmed 27 seconds off her 1,500-meter time to a personal-best 4:56.08 ay the Occidental (Calif.) Invitational ... part of the seventh-place 1,600 relay at the SCAC Championships.
2010: Participated in the 1,600 relay as a freshman, helping her team to finish fifth overall at the conference meet.
Before Colorado College: Wang earned numerous all-league honors while running the 400, 800 and 1600 meters as a prep at Peak to Peak Charter School in the Boulder, Colo., area...also helped her 1,600 relay team win a state 3A championship with a 4:01 clocking in 2008, when she
individually posted times of 2:34 in the 800 and 5:42 in the 1600.
