Colorado College extended its winning streak to five games with a 74-23 victory over Crown College on Sunday afternoon.
The Tigers improved to 7-1 overall and 2-0 on the road. It marks only the third time CC has won five or more consecutive games since the 1989-90 team won nine in a row en route to a 17-9 record.
The 51-point margin of victory was the largest since a 103-19 win over Johnson & Wales University on Feb. 10, 2007, and the largest on the road since the Tigers defeated JWU, 92-36, on Jan. 25, 2007, in Denver.
Eliese Hansberry led the Tigers with game highs of 16 points and 10 rebounds for her second double-double of the season and the 11th of her career. The senior forward made five of seven field-goal attempts for a season-high .714 shooting percentage.
Jordy Stephenson added 10 points to reach double figures for the second game in a row. The sophomore forward also dished out a career-high four assists.
The Tigers led 8-0 before the Storm got on the board with a three pointer by Judy Mundt 6:39 into the game. CC added 10 points to its lead by the time Mundt scored again 2:03 later, and then added 11 more points to take a 29-5 lead with 8:55 remaining in the first half.
Jenny Knapp scored all eight of her points in the first half as CC raced to a 43-9 lead after 20 minutes.
Collier Clegg and Sarah Gunkel added nine points apiece for the Tigers.
Mundt led the Storm with 15 points, while Stephanie Zroka added six. Mundt and Brittany Alverson shared the team high of six rebounds.
Colorado College will play host to the University of Sioux Falls next Saturday afternoon in its final game before the New Year.
