The Colorado College track and field teams continued their tradition of excellence in the classroom by finishing on or near the top of their respective rankings for cumulative grade-point average during the 2008-09 academic year.
The men's team posted a 3.490 GPA, the highest in Division III. Not to be outdone, the women's team took eighth place with a 3.563 average.
Both were named an All-Academic Track & Field Team by the United States Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association.
Colorado College and Carleton College were the only schools to have both teams ranked among the top eight.
To qualify for the award, the team must have compiled a minimum cumulative grade point average of 3.10.
