A pair of Colorado College divers, sophomore
Mary Rose Donahue and freshman
Casey Pollard, opened the 2015-16 season Saturday at the University of Denver Diving Invitational.
Â
Donahue finished fourth in both the 1- and 3-meter events against Division I opponents University of Denver and Nebraska Omaha. She posted a six-dive score of 205.6 points in the 1-meter and 184.0 in the 3-meter.
Â
Pollard, meanwhile, only competed in the 1-meter event and finished eighth with a score of 98.45 points.
Â
"Mary Rose and Casey performed well against some tough Division I divers today," Colorado College diving coach
Ellen Walker said. "It is always a relief to have the first meet be a success. Both of them performed several new dives for the first time this season and we are looking forward to our next meet against Division II Western State."
Â
The men's and women's swimming and diving teams will host Western State Colorado University on Saturday, Oct. 24 at Schlessman Pool beginning at noon.
