Pair of Divers Open '15-16 Campaign

A pair of Colorado College divers, sophomore Mary Rose Donahue and freshman Casey Pollard, opened the 2015-16 season Saturday at the University of Denver Diving Invitational.

Donahue finished fourth in both the 1- and 3-meter events against Division I opponents University of Denver and Nebraska Omaha. She posted a six-dive score of 205.6 points in the 1-meter and 184.0 in the 3-meter.

Pollard, meanwhile, only competed in the 1-meter event and finished eighth with a score of 98.45 points.

"Mary Rose and Casey performed well against some tough Division I divers today," Colorado College diving coach Ellen Walker said. "It is always a relief to have the first meet be a success. Both of them performed several new dives for the first time this season and we are looking forward to our next meet against Division II Western State."

The men's and women's swimming and diving teams will host Western State Colorado University on Saturday, Oct. 24 at Schlessman Pool beginning at noon.
