Allysa Warling and junior
Leah Wessler, the Colorado College women's cross country team place eighth Saturday at the 41st Charles Bowles Willamette Invitational Saturday in Salem, Ore.
Warling, who has led the Tigers in all three meets this season, finished 21
st overall with a 5k time of 18 minutes, 18.5 seconds. Wessler, the reigning SCAC Runner of the Year, finished 26
th with a time of 18:28.0.
Freshman
Leah Veldhuisen posted an impressive time of 18:54.7 to finish in 46
th place, two spots ahead of junior
Katie Sandfort, who finished the race in 18:57.0. Fellow junior
Stefani Messick completed the official scoring for the Tigers by finishing 59
th in a time of 19:14.4.
While the majority of the team ran in Salem, three Tigers competed at the Metro State Invite in Denver, Colo. Senior
Beryl Coulter was CC's top runner, finishing 58
th in the 6k race with a time of 27:19.
CC returns to action at the Fort Hays State Tiger Open on Saturday, Oct. 10 in Hays, Kan.
