Box Score 2 No. 7 Colorado College ended its 2015 regular-season on Saturday, defeating Stephens College and Central Christian College during the Johnson & Wales Volleyball Tournament in Denver.

With the pair of wins, the Tigers improved to 33-2 to complete their regular-season and finish with the best record in program history. CC's best regular-season record occurred in 2013 and 2009 when it finished 31-3.

Junior
Abbe Holtze led the offense in both matches with a combined 20 kills and also added a combined 23 digs on defense. The outside hitter earned her 16th double-double of the season with 13 digs and 12 kills in the first match of the day against Stephens.

CC opened the day with a four-set win over Stephens, 10-25, 25-14, 25-20, 25-14 as the Tigers outhit the Stars 51-39 in kills.

Senior
Sophie Merrifield dug up a team-best 20 digs to lead CC on defense, while junior
Keli Sherwood blocked five attacks at the net and also picked up six kills.

The Tigers dominated in their final match of the day with a 25-19, 25-14, 25-19 win over Central Christian.

CC forced Central Christian into hitting 30 errors in 109 attempts, while only giving up 21 kills for a -.083 attack percentage. This was the seventh time the Tigers have limited their opponents to a negative hitting percentage.

Senior
Courtney Birkett led CC with 13 assists and four blocks against Central Christian. The right-side hitter also added seven digs and six kills to round out the day. In the first match of the day, Birkett earned 22 assists, eight kills and seven digs.

Merrifield anchored the back row for the second time of the day and 26th time this season on a team-best 16 digs.

Colorado College will travel to Georgetown, Texas on Nov. 6-7 for the 2015 Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference Championship. The Tigers earned a first-round bye as the No. 1 seed and will await the winner of the Trinity University vs. Austin College match.
