Sophomore
John Hatch made the most of his first meet as a member of the Colorado College men's track and field team Saturday at the University of Colorado Invitational in Boulder, Colo.

The 6'7" Hatch, who also plays on the CC men's basketball team, finished fourth in the long jump and eighth in the triple jump against Division I and II competition. He posted a mark of 22' 6.25" in the long jump and 43' 9.25" in the triple jump. Freshman
Trevor Hightower followed with jumps of 20' 0.25" (15
th) in the long jump and 42' 1.5" (13
th) in the triple jump.

Henry Baldwin finished seventh in the high jump with a leap of 6' 1.25", while fellow freshman
Quin Gattey also gathered a seventh-place finish in the 400-meter hurdles with a personal-best time of 56.88 seconds, followed by sophomore
Justin Nguyen, who finished 13
th in 1:02.79.

Ethan Holland and freshman
Greg Williamson each produced a season-best time as well on Saturday. Fite finished 23
rd in the 400-meter dash with a time of 54.44 seconds, while Holland finished 21
st and Williamson 23
rd in the 800-meter race with times of 1:59.79 and 2:02.68, respectively. Â Â

"We are getting better and better each week and still on track to peak at the SCAC Championships," head coach
Ted Castaneda said.

The Tigers will split the team next weekend, with the distance runners competing at the KT Woodman Classic in Wichita, Kan., on Friday, April 15 and the rest of the team at the Jack Christiansen Invite in Fort Collins, Colo., on Saturday, April 16.
