Anthony Weber

Anthony Weber was named head coach of the Colorado College women's tennis team in August of 2013. He also took over as men's coach the following February, replacing Todd Doebler.

Weber originally was hired as assistant coach for both programs under Doebler in September 2011, helping with all aspects of the programs including conditioning, recruiting and player development. He also served as coordinator of intramural sports during the 2013-14 academic year.

He was named the SCAC Women's Tennis Coach of the Year award after leading the Tigers to a second-place finish at the 2015 SCAC championships, falling to nationally-ranked Trinity in the title match.

The next season, Weber was named the SCAC Men's Tennis Co-Coach of the Year. He guided CC to a third-place finish at the 2016 SCAC Championships after entering the tournament as the No. 5 seed. The Tigers upset third-seeded Schreiner, 5-4, in the third-place match, vaulting them to the No. 20 spot in the latest Division III West Region rankings.

After guiding Sam Hum to an all-SCAC selection and NCA Postgraduate Scholarship in 2021, Weber put together a recruiting class that received votes from the Tennis Recruiting Network for the top recruiting classes entering the 2021-22 season.

During the 2022-23 season, the CC men's team posted its highest regional ranking in program history at #13 and upset 36th-ranked Chapman University, the highest-ranked team CC has defeated in program history.

Entering the 2023-24 campaign, CC narrowly missed TRN's Top 25 list for Division III women, but was listed as one of seven programs that received consideration from the national website.

Certified by the Professional Tennis Registry (PTR) and the National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA), with specialization in speed, agility, dynamic balance and power relating to tennis and volleyball, Weber has coached at several local high schools – Liberty, Palmer and Sand Creek. He also has taught tennis at a number of youth camps, as well as offering private and group lessons.

Weber was a former varsity tennis player at Division I Lamar University under head tennis coach Claire Pollard, who is currently the head women’s coach at Northwestern University. While at Lamar, Weber served as a representative on the Student-Athlete Advisory Committee. He earned a bachelor’s degree in finance from Colorado State University, graduating in 1999.

Weber and his wife Kasey, are the proud parents of two sons – Jackson and Ty.
