The Colorado College men's soccer team defeated Cal Tech, 3-0, on Friday night in the Tigers' home opener at Washburn Field.
It also was the first game of the 2008 Bill Boddington Memorial Tournament.
Junior forward
Trevor Cobb scored what proved to be the game-winning goal 27:09 into the first half, heading in a crossing pass from senior forward
Logan Boccard. It was Cobb's second consecutive game winner.
CC's leading scorers struck again with 4:39 remaining in the first half, but this time it was Boccard scoring off a feed from Cobb.
The Tigers emptied the bench in the second half, allowing every player on the roster to see some action.
Freshman forward
Travis Boccard closed out the scoring with five seconds remaining in the game with an unassisted goal.
Colorado College did not allow a shot in the game. The Tigers have posted back-to-back shutouts and outscored their opponents 15-1 this season.
The Boddington Tournament will continue on Saturday when CC plays host to MIT at 2 p.m. on Stewart Field.
