Colorado College saw its four-match conference winning streak come to end on Sunday with a 3-1 loss at Hendrix College.
The Tigers slipped to 9-8-1 overall and 5-4-0 in the Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference. The Warriors improved to 9-6-2 overall and 4-2-2 in conference play.
With little gas in the tank after yesterday's overtime victory at Rhodes, CC fell behind in the 17th minute and Duncan Keegan struck for a pair of goals in a span of 4:27 late in the first half that proved to be all the Warriors would need.
Matt Fechter put Colorado College on the board with an unassisted goal in the 62nd minute, but that was the only ball the Tigers would get past Hendrix goalkeeper Jon Moore, who finished with seven saves. It was Fechter's team-leading 11th goal of the season.
Andy McGhie (3-2-0) made five of his six saves in the first half when the Warriors put eight shots on goal.
CC goes back on the road next weekend when the Tigers travel to Birmingham-Southern College and Millsaps College for the final two games of the 2009 campaign.
