Chapman gets revenge against Tigers

Colorado College dropped a 7-2 decision to Chapman University on Sunday in its final warm up for the upcoming Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference Championships.

The Panthers avenged an 8-1 loss to the Tigers on March 22 at the Stag-Hen Invitational.

Thomas Modern and Kenny Reid earned CC's only points after dropping a hard-fought 9-7 decision at No. 3 doubles.

Modern won for the third time in his last five matches by posting a 6-3, 6-2 victory over Alex Klein at No. 5 singles.

Reid evened his singles record at 1-1 by coming out on top in a third-set super tie-breaker to earn a 6-3, 4-6, 11-9 victory.

The Tigers will face Millsaps College on Friday at 8 a.m. in the first round of the SCAC Tournament.
