Freshman forward Brandon Ogilvie scored with 3:41 remaining in regulation as Colorado College came from behind to tie visiting Wheaton College, 1-1, on Monday afternoon at Stewart Field.
Ogilvie's header off a chip pass from the right sideline by classmate Ben Glass found the net between Thunder goalie Ryan Seager and the near post.
The goal culminated a furious comeback in the second half when the Tigers launched 16 of their 29 shots. Colorado College had six of their nine corner kicks during the second frame when most of the action was in Wheaton's defensive zone.
Each team had five shots during the final 20 minutes, but nearly all were taken from outside the penalty area.
Chad Musgrave gave the Thunder a 1-0 lead 3:45 into the contest when he converted on a crossing pass from Josh Clark.
Andy McGhie made three saves for CC, while Seager finished with 11. The Tigers compiled a 29-19 advantage in total shots and a 12-4 edge in shots on goal. Colorado College also enjoyed a 9-4 margin in corner kicks.
The game was delayed 23 minutes when Wheaton's Austin Rogers was injured just 44 seconds into the game.
The Tigers finished the game with a 2-3-2 record, while the Thunder is 2-2-3.
Colorado College begins Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference play on Friday when the Tigers play host to Millsaps College at 2 p.m.
