Tigers top Centre to take seventh at SCACs

Colorado College bounced back from a disappointing loss on Saturday to claim seventh place at the 2011 Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference Championships with a 6-3 victory over Centre College.

Sam Barnard and Evan Jonker put CC on the board with an 8-4 triumph at No. 2 doubles, and then Will Lindsay and Zach White prevailed by an 8-5 count to give the Tigers a 2-1 lead heading into singles play. 

Thomas Modern's earned the first singles point with a 6-2, 6-2 win at No. 4, and then Lindsay improved to 13-3 after posting a 6-2, 6-3 victory at No. 5 singles. 

White locked up the match and seventh place for the Tigers with a 7-5, 6-2 triumph at No. 6 singles. 

Nate Burt added CC's final point by fighting his way to a 7-5, 7-5 decision at the No. 1 contest.
