Colorado College begins its sixth season as an affiliate member of Conference USA this Friday when East Carolina University visits Stewart Field for a 4 p.m. contest. The first weekend of league play concludes on Sunday when the Tigers play host to Marshall University at noon.
CC enters Friday's game with a 2-4-2 record after tying Fresno State (1-1) and defeating the University of Arkansas (5-0) last weekend. The Tigers also are 2-1-2 in their last five games.
East Carolina is 5-1-1 overall and 4-0 on the road after defeating Francis Marion College (2-0) last Sunday. The Pirates have not lost since dropping a 4-0 decision against South Carolina in the season opener.
Marshall takes a 3-5-1 record into Friday's game at UTEP. In its most recent outing on Sept. 16, the Thundering Herd fell by a 2-0 count at Ball State.
Colorado College holds a slim 3-2-1 advantage in the series with ECU, including a 3-2 victory last season in Greenville. The Tigers are 2-0-1 against the Pirates since dropping a 2-1 decision in the 2008 C-USA Tournament. CC has won both previous meetings in Colorado Springs.
The Tigers are 4-1 all-time against Marshall after dropping a 2-1 decision last year in Huntington, WV. The Thundering Herd is 0-2 at Stewart Field and has been outscored 11-0.

Kaeli Vandersluis (Colorado Springs, CO) continues to pace the Tigers with nine points (3g/1a), while junior forward
Brittney Lyman (Arvada, CO) (3g/0a) is right behind. Sophomore forward
Lauren DiGregorio (Burnsville, MN) (1g/3a) leads CC in assists and is third in points.

Hanna Berglund (Golden, Co) allowed just one goal last weekend and has lowered her goals-against average to 1.89 and raised her saves percentage to a season-high .673. CC is 2-1-1 at home so far this season and has outscored its opponents 8-3 at Stewart Field.
After Sunday's contest against Marshall, the Tigers play the first of five conference road games next weekend when they travel to Hattiesburg, Miss., and Orlando, Fla., to face Southern Miss and UCF on Friday and Sunday.
Colorado College returns home on Oct. 7 and 9 for games against Rice University and the University of Houston at Stewart Field.
