Box Score Colorado College saw its five-game winning streak come to an end with 0-0 tie at the University of Dallas on Saturday afternoon.
It was the team's first scoreless tie since Sept. 5, 2011 against the University of Minnesota Morris at Stewart Field.
Despite dominating play in terms of possession, the Tigers were kept off the scoreboard for only the third time this season. CC launched a total of 25 shots, while UD managed only seven.
The defense turned in another stellar performance en route to its third consecutive shutout and ninth of the season. Dallas put just one shot on target, which matched the season low for an opponent set initially during the 1-0 victory over Elmhurst College on Sept. 30.
So far this campaign, CC's opponents have been held to less than five shots on goal 11 times and to fewer than 10 total attempts on nine occasions.
Senior goalkeeper
Forrest Marowitz, who made his only save in the second period, improved to 8-0-1 while posting his third shutout of the season and the sixth of his career.
James Kerin finished with three saves for the Crusaders..
The Tigers improved to 11-3-1 overall and 4-1-1 in the Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference. The Crusaders are 5-5-1 overall and 2-3-1 in league play.
Colorado College plays host to No. 1 Trinity next Friday at Stewart Field.
