Tigers fall to Hamline

Junior Will Lindsay led the Colorado College men's tennis team Sunday morning, winning both of his matches against Hamline University. Hamline came up with the 7-2 victory in the first of six games the Tigers will play in Orlando, Fla.

Lindsay began the day with partner Jack Burger to earn CC's first win of the day in a tough 9-8 victory over Bernard Mitambo and Sam Teitelmaum at No. 2 doubles. Lindsay earned the second win of the day, beating Robert Becker in retirement.

Nate Burt and Lionel Zen-Ruffinen had a hard fought match at No. 1 doubles, but came up on the wrong side of an 8-6 loss to David Croonquist and Robert Becker. Zach White and Oliver Gunter also fought hard at No. 3 doubles.

In singles play, Burger and Robert Kasemodel went to extra sets during their singles matches, but both came up short. Burger won his first set 6-2, but dropped the remaining sets 6-4, 10-4 at the No. 5 singles position. Kasemodel also won his first set 6-4 against Derek Lutz, but fell in the remaining sets 6-4, 10-8 at No. 6 singles.

Colorado College is now 1-4 on the season and continues play in Orlando, Fla., and will take on Oneonta on Monday morning in the second of six matches over Spring Break.
