The Colorado College men's tennis team ended its regular season with a 7-0 loss to a tough Division I Air Force, Sunday morning at the U.S. Air Force Academy.
The Tigers had a strong showing in doubles play, but came up on the wrong side as they fell behind 1-0 in doubles action.
Nate Burt and
Lionel Zen-Ruffinen began the day falling to Lance Wilhelm and Grant Taylor, 8-4 at No. 1 doubles.
Robert Kasemodel and
Zach White dropped an 8-5 decision to Michael Tope and Alex Grubbs at the No. 3 doubles position.
Jack Burger and
Will Lindsay had a hard fought match at the No. 2 doubles position, but fell just shy in a 9-7 loss to Steven Young and Alex Lineberry.
During singles play, Kasemodel came up short at the No. 4 singles position when he fell 6-2, 6-3 to Young. Burger also had a tough match, but fell 6-4, 6-1 at the No. 5 singles position.
The Falcons won the remaining matches, dropping no less than one point in each set.
Colorado College dropped to 8-9 on the season and travels to Conway, Ark. for the Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference Championships on Apr. 27.
