Max Grossenbacher converted a penalty kick in the 78th minute to help Colorado College earn a 2-2 tie at the University of Dallas on Sunday afternoon.
The Tigers, who are 11-3-2 overall and 7-2-2 in the Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference, had to come from behind twice.
Colten Allen gave the Crusaders their first lead 13:39 into the second half when he scored the first of his two goals off a feed from Matthew Wise.
Senior forward
Stuart Beezley leveled the score a little less than 10 minutes later, but Allen struck again in the 75th minute.
It marked the first time since the season opener against Occidental College that an opponent scored more than one goal against CC.
Freshman
Theo Hooker stopped three shots for the Tigers, who posted a 26-12 advantage in total shots and a 12-4 margin in corner kicks.
Tino Gamueda made a pair of stops for UD in the first half and one more during the 20 minutes of overtime. P.J. Hasson recorded three saves in the second half.
The Crusaders are 9-5-1 overall and 5-4-1 in the SCAC.
Colorado College returns home next week for their final two appearances of the regular season at Stewart Field. The Tigers play host to Schreiner University on Friday, Oct. 24, and Texas Lutheran University on Sunday, Oct. 26.
