Colorado College plays at home for the final times this season when the University of New Mexico and San Diego State University descend upon Stewart Field this week. CC plays host to the Lobos on Friday, Oct. 23, at 3 p.m. MT, and then first-place SDSU on Sunday at noon MT.

The Tigers are 7-9-1 overall and 5-3-0 in the Mountain West after splitting a pair of games on the road last week. Colorado College opened its trip with a 2-0 victory against Boise State University on Friday, but dropped a 3-2 decision at Utah State University two days later. CC is 4-7-0 at home in 2015.

New Mexico is 7-7-1 overall and 5-2-1 in league play after going 1-1 at home last week. The Lobos fell 2-1 in overtime to San Jose State University, but rebounded for a decisive 5-1 win over Fresno State on Sunday. UNM is 4-3-1 away from home this season.

The Aztecs, 11-4-0 overall and 7-1-0 in the conference, extended their winning streak to seven games with 2-1 victories over Fresno State and SJSU at home last week. San Diego State is undefeated at home, but will take 3-4-0 road ledger into Friday's match at Air Force.

Colorado College owns a 6-3-0 record in the all-time series with New Mexico, including a 3-1 advantage in games played at Stewart Field. Last year, the Tigers recorded a 2-0 victory in Albuquerque for their fourth consecutive win over the Lobos, but their first since 2003.

San Diego State, which holds a 2-1-2 lead in the series with CC, will play in Colorado Springs for only the second time. In the last game the Aztecs played at 6,035 feet, Colorado College triumphed, 3-2, in overtime. Last year, SDSU won 3-0 during the regular season and the teams officially played to a 1-1 tie in the semifinals of the Mountain West Championship. The Aztecs advanced in the tournament on penalty kicks.

Senior midfielder Sarah Schweiss continues to lead the Tigers with nine goals and 20 points, and is tied for second with a pair of assists. Freshman midfielder Lauren Milliet is second with three goals and eight points, while freshman midfielder Rae Conlon has a team-high four assists.

With three more goals last weekend, Schweiss continued her climb in the Colorado College record book as well as a place among this season's Mountain West scoring leaders. The Monument, Colo., product climbed into eighth place in program history with 26 career goals and 10th place with 65 career points. She also is tied for 16th with 13 assists.

Schweiss leads the conference with 76 shots and five game-winning goals. She also is second in goals and fourth in points. CC's co-captain has factored in six of the team's seven game-winning goals this season, scoring five and setting up one. Schweiss now has 10 career game winners and seven game-winning assists.

With four assists in the last eight games, Conlon has figured prominently in Colorado College's recent success. Three of her four helpers set up game-winning goals by Schweiss, two of which occurred in the second half or overtime. Her four assists are the most by a first-year Tiger since Chanisse Hendrix recorded five in 2013 and she is on track to become the first freshman to lead the team in assists since 2011 when Kaeli Vandersluis and then-sophomore Lauren DiGregorio scored four apiece.

Five seniors will make their final home appearance for this weekend. During their four seasons at Colorado College, Samantha Curran, Carina Lauzon, Alexis Long, Sarah Schweiss and Samantha Zarling have been part of CC squads that have a combined overall record of 48-22-13 and a conference mark of 28-9-3.

Their teams have made three consecutive appearances in conference tournaments, won a pair of Conference USA regular season titles, won the 2013 CUSA postseason tournament and earned an automatic berth to the 2013 NCAA Division I Championship.

Colorado College plays its final game of the regular season on Friday, Oct. 30, at the Air Force Academy. That contest kicks off at 7 p.m. The top six teams in the Mountain West qualify for the conference championship, which begins Tuesday, Nov. 3, in San Diego.
