Box Score Tim Huettel struck for a pair of goals and Theo Hooker stopped the only two shots he faced to lead Colorado College to a 2-0 victory at Schreiner University on Friday afternoon.

Huettel recorded his second multiple-goal game of the season in a little more than eight minutes late in the first half.

The sophomore midfielder put the Tigers on the board in the 33rd minute off a touch from older brother Ryan, a senior midfielder. The goal proved to be Tim's first career game winner and marked the first time the siblings combined for a goal.

He added an insurance marker late in the 41st minute off a feed from senior forward Max Grossenbacher, who extended his point streak to a career-best six games.

Two goals were more than enough for Hooker and CC's back line, who posted their third clean sheet of the season.

Colorado College now has played eight consecutive games without allowing more than five shots on goal and five without allowing double-digit total shots.

Hooker lowered his goals-against average to a season-low 0.95 and raised his saves percentage to .727, which equals his season high.

"The guys put in another mature performance," head coach Scott Palguta said. "The Huettels gave the team a real spark on the wings and Brian Rubin was a two-way threat in the midfield off the bench.

"The team continues to get deeper as we progress through the season, which is rewarding to see."

CC improved to 9-1-2 overall and 7-0-1 in the Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference with its eighth consecutive victory. The Tigers also are 7-0-1 when scoring first and 6-0-0 when leading after 45 minutes.

Brandon Anselmi made a pair of saves for the Mountaineers, who slipped to 4-8-0 overall and 2-6-0 in league play.

Colorado College renews its rivalry with Trinity University on Sunday at high noon CT in San Antonio.
