The Colorado College men's tennis team dropped a 9-0 decision to seventh-ranked Trinity University Friday morning in Georgetown, Texas. Trinity, also ranked No. 3 in the West Region, improved to 13-8 this season while CC fell to 3-12.

Trinity jumped out to an early 3-0 lead by sweeping all three doubles matches. Senior
Jack Burger and sophomore
Jason Gutierrez fell 8-2 at the top spot to Jordan Mayer and Aaron Skinner, while CC's No. 2 and 3 teams each lost by an 8-3 score.

In singles, Trinity won all six matches in straight sets, but CC junior
Taylor Delehanty nearly pushed the No. 4 match to three sets before falling, 6-3, 7-6(9), to Kevin Lee. Gutierrez lost the No. 1 match, 6-4, 6-2, to Skinner and sophomore
Jack Benham, playing just his fourth singles match of the season, lost the No. 6 match, 6-3, 6-1, to Austin Crist.

"Taylor played a real tough match today and almost pushed it to three sets," CC head coach
Anthony Weber said. "Tomorrow is probably the biggest match of the weekend for both teams, so we are really looking forward to it."

Colorado College plays at SCAC foe Schreiner University on Saturday, April 18 in Kerrville, Texas. The match is scheduled to begin at 10:30 a.m. (CT).Â
