David Bailey Joins Athletic Marketing Staff

David Bailey has been named the assistant director of marketing for the athletic department at Colorado College. The announcement was made by Scott Lowenberg, CC's associate athletic director for external operations.
 
Bailey, who brings more than five years of experience in ticket sales, marketing and event coordination, comes to Colorado College from KRDO NewsChannel 13 (ABC), where he has worked as an account executive for the past year. He was instrumental in sales as well as developing and maintaining successful marketing strategies for on-air and digital mediums.
 
"I am very excited to welcome David to our department," Lowenberg said. "He brings a great sales and sports ticketing background to Colorado College. David also has a great personality and a 'do what it takes to get the job done' attitude that will go a long way towards our future success."
 
Prior to his time at KRDO, Bailey was an event coordinator for USA Triathlon and Anthony Travel, Inc., from 2012 to 2015.
 
During his time at USA Triathlon, he coordinated the organization's 12 national championships and built several marketing initiatives. Meanwhile, at Anthony Travel he was the lead coordinator for Stanford University's 2013 and '14 Rose Bowl tours as well as ESPN's 2013 and '14 Puerto Rico Tip-Off Basketball Tournaments. 
 
Serving as the manager for ticket sales and service for the Allen American Professional Hockey Club during the 2011-12 season, Bailey generated season ticket and group sales.
 
Bailey, who earned a bachelor of science degree in sport management from the University of Texas in 2009, will begin his duties on Monday, March 21.
