The Colorado College men's tennis team dropped a 9-0 decision to 14
th-ranked Trinity University Saturday morning in San Antonio, Texas.

Trinity swept the three doubles matches to take an early 3-0 lead. Senior
Jason Gutierrez and freshman
Noah Forman lost the No. 1 match, 8-5, to Chas Mayer and Clayton Niess, while senior
Jack Benham and freshman
Logan Pepperl fell to Jordan Pitts and Liam Crawley, 8-3, at the No. 2 position. Sophomore
Daniel Holland and freshman
Kevin Barry had the closest match before falling to Cameron Bilsbarrow and Tilden Oliver, 8-6, at No. 3.

Gutierrez put up the best fight in singles play as he dropped the No. 1 match to Mayer, 6-1, 7-6. Sophomore
Christian Kitchen took McKenna Fujitani to 6-4 in the first set, but lost the second 6-0. Trinity did not lose any more than two games in any set of the four other matches.

Colorado College (5-13) wraps up the 2016-17 regular season on Sunday, April 23 against Texas Lutheran University in Seguin, Texas, beginning at 9 a.m.
