Theo Hooker made two saves and the University of Dallas' Sean Carlin had four as the Tigers and Crusaders battled to a 0-0 tie in the Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference opener for both teams on Friday at Stewart Field.

The teams waited out a 2 hour, 15 minute lightning delay before taking the field for 90 minutes of regulation and one 10-minute overtime session. The game was called after the first OT due to darkness.

Hayden Cogswell got a couple of good looks early in the game, but both sailed high over the Dallas net. Junior defender
Alexander Makic collected the only shot on goal for either team in the first half, a shot that was saved by Carlin with seven minutes remaining in the frame. The Tigers outshot Dallas, 11-4, in the first 45 minutes.

Both teams were on target a little better in the second half as Carlin was forced to make three saves and Hooker had both of his in the second stanza. The best chance of the match came in the final minute of regulation when Tiger junior
Keenan Amer placed a header just over the crossbar.

Neither team attempted a shot on goal in the overtime period.

Colorado College attempted 19 total shots, compared to 10 for Dallas (1-1-1) and the Tigers held a 9-2 advantage in corner kicks.

The Tigers (1-1-1) head to California for a game against Chapman University on Sunday, Sept. 10.
