The Colorado College men's tennis team opened its 2018 spring season Sunday with a 6-1 loss to Northern Colorado in Greeley.
 
The Bears (4-1) captured the doubles point with wins at the Nos. 1 and 3 sports. The Tiger duo of senior Brian Chen and sophomore Noah Forman won the No. 2 match, defeating Nick Wade and Michael Kritzinger, 6-4.
 
UNC won at the top five singles positions in straight sets, but CC freshman Alex Kley put the Tigers on the board with an exciting, 6-3, 2-6, 1-0 (12) victory over Cassell King at the No 6 spot.
 
The Tigers (0-5) return to action on Friday, Feb. 16 against Claremont Mudd-Scripps in Claremont, Calif.
