Box Score Jovi Munoz scored three times, including the game-winner on a penalty kick with 1:51 remaining in the second overtime, to lead the University of Texas at Dallas men's soccer team to a 3-2 victory over Colorado College Friday at Washburn Field.

Keller Mochel took him down in the box after flying past the Tiger defense. Munoz placed the PK into the lower right corner under Mochel.

The Tigers trailed 2-1 late in regulation when CC's
Miles Montgomery was given his second yellow card of the match and sent off. Despite playing with just 10 men, the Tigers controlled the play and evened the score when
Josh Raizner took a pass from
Robert Malone and fired a rocket from the right side just inside the far post behind UT-Dallas goalie John Nicknish with 7:13 remaining in regulation.

Munoz opened the scoring in the 14
th minute. He took a long pass down the left side from Brad Rivenes, cut to the middle and beat Mochel to the far post.

John Schuler tied things at 1-all with less than two minutes left in the first half when he beat Nishnick from 20 yards out.

Munoz scored his second of the match with a PK in the 57
th minute after Oliver Hamby was taken down in the box after a run down the left side.

Both teams played a physical style for the first match of the season, as they combined for 36 fouls and seven yellow cards. Mochel finished the game with eight saves, while Nishnick had two.

Munoz, Malone and UT-Dallas' Alfredo Kaegi led all players with four shots and the Comets held a 22-12 advantage in shots for the match.
