Colorado College concludes its six-game non-conference schedule on Sunday, Sept. 16, when the University of Houston visits Stewart Field for a 1:30 p.m. kickoff.

Colorado College enters Sunday's contest with a 3-2-0 record after dropping a dramatic 2-1 decision at No. 5 Texas A&M University on Friday, Sept. 7. CC's game at Lamar on Sunday, Sept. 9, was suspended in the 55th minute due to weather and is officially a No Contest. The Tigers are 1-1-0 at home after defeating Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi 2-0 on Aug. 24 and then falling 2-1 to Columbia University on Aug. 31.
Houston will take a 4-4-0 record into its game at Air Force on Thursday night. The Cougars, who are coming off victories over Sam Houston State University (2-1 in overtime) and McNeese State University (2-0), own a 1-4-0 record on the road this season.Â
Colorado College and Houston meet for the first time since Oct. 10, 2012, when they squared off in the first round of the Conference USA Tournament. The Tigers scored a goal with four seconds remaining in regulation to snatch the 2-1 victory and stretch its lead in the series to 6-1-0. CC is 4-0-0 all-time against the Cougars in games played in Colorado Springs.

Costanza owns a team-leading three assists, two of which set up game winners, and is second with five points. Sophomore
Jade Odom has played all 450 minutes in goal and owns a 1.00 goals-against average along with a .792 saves percentage.
Houston, which competes in the American Athletic Conference, averages 1.62 goals per contest while conceding 1.12. The Cougar offense features junior forward Desiree Bowen, who leads the team with four goals and eight points, and sophomore midfielder Mia Brascia, who has four assists and is tied for second with four points. Sophomore forward Jazmin Grant has a pair of goals, both of which are game winners.
Senior Rachel Estopare and junior Samantha Cude have shared time in goal this season. Cude owns a 2-1-0 record along with a 0.60 GAA and .800 saves percentage, while Estopare is 2-3-0 with a 1.46 GAA and a .767 saves ratio.

Colorado College has not allowed more than two goals in a game this season. In their most recent outing, the Tigers held Texas A&M to just two goals. The Aggies came into the game averaging more than three goals per game and had scored three or more in five of six games. Prior to Columbia's first goal on Aug. 31, CC had played a little more than 269 minutes without conceding a goal since the University of Northern Colorado scored 16:52 into the season opener. The Tigers posted back-to-back clean sheets against the University of Denver (2-0) and Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi (2-0).
The five members of CC's 2018 recruiting class have made a big impact during the first five games of the season. Defender
Kayla Montoya has started all five games and is tied for fourth on the team with 405 minutes played. Midfielder Toni Tsamafyros started four of her first five games and is sixth with 320 minutes.
First-year forwards Suter, a three-time starter, and
Abby Hubbard have played in every game. Hand, who played for New Zealand in the FIFA Under-20 World Cup in August, has started two of three games since making her first appearance as a Tiger against Texas A&M-Corpus Christi on Aug. 24. Hand became the first newcomer to find the net when she scored at Texas A&M, while Hubbard and Suter each have recorded an assist.
Colorado College kicks off its Mountain West schedule with a pair of road games in California next week. The Tigers visit San Jose State University on Friday, Sept. 21, at 7 p.m. PT for the third of four night games on the 2018 schedule. Sunday's game at Fresno State University kicks off at Noon PT.
