CC Falls at Centenary

The Colorado College men's soccer team saw its 13-match winning streak against Centenary come to an end on Sunday afternoon with a 2-0 loss to the Gents on Sunday afternoon at Mayo Field.

Wil Escobar scored 31 seconds into the game and added a second tally in the 18th minute as Centenary defeated CC for the first time since Oct. 26, 2012.

The Tigers controlled the run of play throughout the match, launching 23 shots compared to 10 for the Gents.

Colorado College also had a 7-5 edge in corner kicks.

The Tigers put seven shots on target, but were unable to get one past goalkeeper Sami Borchalli.

It marked the first time this season CC was unable to score.

Sophomore keeper Keleher Felton stopped one shot for the Tigers.

Colorado College slipped to 6-5-0 overall and 1-1-0 in the Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference.

Colorado College Standouts
Griffin Meyer led all players with five shots.
Miles Montgomery finished with four shots.

Centenary Standouts
Gin Pau earned an assist on the first goal.
Nick Garcia had three shots for the Gents.
