Box Score Freshman Alex Wimer won the No. 6 singles match, but Metro State captured the other eight as the Roadrunners downed CC, 6-1, Sunday afternoon in Denver, Colo.
 
CMU swept all three doubles matches to earn the first point of the match, starting with Joey Tscherne and Mateo Besada beating junior Noah Forman and senior Daniel Holland, 6-2, at the top spot, while David Kijak and Alejandro Martinez-Morilla topped senior Christian Kitchen and freshman Jacob Adas, 6-3, at the No. 2 position. Wimer and sophomore Alex Kley dropped the No. 3 match, 6-1, to Daniel Llorente and Kacey Walisundara.
 
Metro State won the first five singles matches in straight sets, including Tscherne downing Forman, 7-6(5), 6-2 at the No. 1 position.
 
Wimer notched CC's lone point with a 6-3, 6-1 victory over Walisundara.
 
The Tigers (5-11) head to Sherman, Texas, next weekend for the 2019 SCAC Championships, beginning on Friday, April 19.
