The Colorado College women's soccer team kicks off its 11-game Mountain West schedule this week with a pair of home games at Washburn Field. The Tigers play host to defending tournament champion San Jose State University on Friday, Sept. 27, at 7 p.m., then Fresno State two days later for a 1 p.m. kickoff.

CC takes a 5-1-0 record into Friday's encounter with the Spartans after defeating Southern Illinois University, 2-0, last Sunday. The Tigers are 4-0-0 at home season, outscoring their opponents 14-3 in those games.
SJSU slipped to 2-4-2 overall with three consecutive one-goal losses, the last of which was a 2-1 overtime setback at home to the University of Portland. The Spartans are 1-2-1 on the road this season. Fresno State will take a 4-2-1 mark into Friday's match at Air Force. The Bulldogs, who are 2-1-0 on the road this season, have won three of its last four games.
Colorado College is looking for it's first-ever victory over San Jose State on Friday. The Spartans have won all five previous meetings with CC, including a 3-2 victory in their second visit to Colorado Springs in 2017.
Fresno State holds a 3-2-1 lead in the series with Colorado College, however the Tigers claimed a 1-0 victory last year in Fresno. The Bulldogs are 2-0-1 in three previous trips to Colorado Springs, including back-to-back 1-0 results in their two most recent visits in 2015 and 2016.
Colorado College averages 2.33 goals per game and concedes just .083. Junior midfielder
Jenna Wilt, who owns three goals and a team-best six assists, leads the team with 12 points. Sophomore forward
Jacqui Hand is first with four goals and second with nine points, while sophomore forward
Kiley Suter is second with five assists and third with seven points.

The Tigers have conceded just five goals, one of which was an own goal, and are among the Mountain West leaders with a 0.83 GAA. Colorado College's opponents also have launched just 51 total shots, compared to 112 for the Tigers.
Freshman
Abby Opperman is 4-1-0 in goal and owns a 0.67 goals-against average and a .833 saves percentage.

San Jose State averages 0.5 goals per game while allowing 1.5. Senior Jamilecxth Becerra leads the Spartans with two goals, one of which was the overtime game winner against Utah Valley. Freshman midfielders Alexis Brewah and Sabrina Weinman also have scored for SJSU. Junior defender Karlee Pottorff has assisted on two of the team's four goals. Sophomore goalkeeper Ariana Romero has played every minute and owns a 1.41 GAA and a .721 saves percentage.
Fresno State averages 1.71 goals per contest while conceding 1.43. Junior forward Emma Chivers leads Fresno State with three goals and six points. Sophomore midfielder Mariona Segales, who has a pair of goals, and junior defender Robyn McCarthy, who produced a goal and two assists, are second on the team with four points. Senior midfielder Tori Nicolo leads the Bulldogs with three assists. Freshman Milena Zink owns a 3-1-0 record in goal, along with a 1.25 GAA and .760 saves percentage. Valentina Vivas, also a first-year keeper, is 1-1-1 with a 2.14 GAA and a .200 saves percentage.
Colorado College is 13-1-1 in its last 15 games at Washburn Field, the program's home away from home. Since splitting a pair of Conference USA games against UTEP in 2009 and 2010, the Tigers are undefeated in their last 13 contests (12-0-1) on Washburn. Stewart Field, CC's primary pitch, is undergoing a facelift and should be ready for games in early October.
Colorado College concludes its current five-game home stand next week with conference matches against Colorado State University and the University of Wyoming on Friday, Oct. 4 and Sunday, Oct. 6, respectively. The following week, the Tigers play their first Mountain West road games at Nevada and UNLV.
