The Colorado College men's tennis team dropped its first dual match of the 2020 spring season, 7-0, to the Northern Colorado Sunday at the Country Club of Colorado in Colorado Springs.
 
The Bears took an early 1-0 lead by sweeping the three doubles matches. The Tigers' No. 1 team of senior Noah Forman and junior Sam Hum extended UNC's top team of Tom Pudney and Julian Kenzlers before falling 6-4.  
 
UNC captured the six singles matches, all in straight sets. Junior Alex Kley nearly took Nick Wade to three sets at the No. 5 position, but Wade prevailed 6-2, 7-6(3). Kyle Pease defeated Forman, 6-1, 6-2, at the No. 1 spot.
 
The Tigers in two weeks against McPherson College (Feb. 8) and Hastings College (Feb. 9) in Hastings, Neb.
