The Colorado College women's soccer team closes out the first half of its Mountain West schedule this weekend with road games at Colorado State University and the University of Wyoming.

CC squares off with the Rams at 3 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 8, at the CSU Soccer Field in Fort Collins, and then continues north on I-25 to play the Cowgirls at 1 p.m. on Sunday, Oct. 10, at the Madrid Sports Complex in Laramie.

Colorado College enters Friday afternoon's match against the Rams with a 2-8-1 overall record and a 1-2-1 mark in the conference after splitting a pair of results at Stewart Field last week. The Tigers defeated the University of Nevada, 2-0, on Friday night, but fell by the same score against UNLV on Sunday. CC is 0-4-0 on the road this season, including an 0-1-0 mark in MW matches.

Colorado State is 2-5-2 overall and 1-3-0 in the conference splitting a pair of games in California last week. The Rams dropped a 3-0 result at Fresno State on Friday night, but rebounded for a 2-1 win at San Jose State University on Sunday. CSU 1-3-1 at home this season.

Wyoming takes a 5-6-1 overall record and a 1-3-0 ledger into Friday's home game against Air Force. The Cowgirls went scoreless last weekend, falling 1-0 at SJSU on Friday and 5-0 on Sunday at Fresno State. Wyoming is 5-1-0 at home this season, with a 1-0-0 mark in conference matches.   

College holds a 4-0-3 lead in the all-time series with Colorado State, including a 2-0-2 record in games played in Fort Collins. The Tigers won the first three games of the series beginning in 2014, but three of the last four meetings have ended in draws, including back-to-back 0-0 ties in 2017 and 2018. CC earned a 1-0 victory in 2019, but the teams battled to a 1-1 tie in the most recent meeting on March 28 during the spring season.

The Tigers lead the all-time series against Wyoming 10-5-0 after winning both matches during the spring. The Tigers won eight of the first nine games, but the Cowgirls won four in a row before Colorado College posted a 2-1 victory at Stewart Field and a 1-0 win in Laramie.

CC averaged 0.55 goals and conceded 1.64 during its first 11 games. Senior forward Jacqui Hand and sophomore forward Lily Byrne lead the Tigers with two goals and five points apiece. Senior forward Kiley Suter and freshman forward Kaelin Enga are tied for third with a goal and three points.

Goalkeeper Taryn Benham, a graduate transfer from Northern Arizona University, has played in all 11 games, including 10 as the starter, and owns a 2-7-1 record, a 1.36 goals-against average, a .605 saves percentage.

Colorado State scores an average of 1.0 goals per game and allows 1.33. Senior forward Kristen Noonan leads the Rams with seven points and shares the team lead of three goals with senior forward Grace Armstrong. Junior midfielder Liv Layton has a team-high two assists and her four points ties her with junior midfielder Kaitlyn Abrams for third on the team. Junior Amanda Green has started eight of nine games in goal and owns a 1-5-2 record along with a 1.30 GAA and .771 saves percentage.

Wyoming scores an average of 1.42 goals per game and concedes 2.08. Junior midfielder Jamie Tatum leads the Cowgirls with 10 points and four assists, and is part of a three-way tie for the team lead with three goals along with sophomore forward Alyssa Bedard and junior forward Faith Joiner. Bedard is second on the team with seven points while Joiner is third with six. Junior Alex Daws is 4-4-1 in goal and has a 2.06 GAA and .705 saves ratio.

Next week, Colorado College returns home to face Boise State University on Oct. 14 in the first of three successive Thursday night games that kick off at 7 p.m. The brief home stand wraps up against Utah State University on Sunday, Oct. 17, at noon.
