The Colorado College men's tennis team won two singles matches and one doubles match, but fell to Colorado Mesa University, 5-2, Saturday afternoon at the Elliott Tennis Center.

Sam Hum cruised through the No. 1 singles match, downing Christian Albrechtsen, 6-2, 6-2 to even the team match at 1-1. The only other straight-set match came at No. 4 as CMU's Jandre van Wyk put the Mavericks back up by one by defeating junior
Jacob Adas, 6-3, 6-1.

Cure made it 3-1 with a 6-2, 6-7(4), 6-0 victory at the No. 3 spot over sophomore
Billy Taylor, then Steven Howe clinched the team match by rallying to beat freshman
Andrew Kaelin, 4-6, 6-1, 6-1, at No. 2.

Thiago Nejm was pushed to the limit by Knox before winning the No. 5 match, 5-7, 6-1, 1-0(7), then Baum came from behind to beat Schott, 3-6, 6-3, 1-0(6) at No. 6.

The Tigers are back in action on Friday, April 23, with a match against SCAC-foe Trinity University in San Antonio, Texas. Â
