The Colorado College women's soccer team ventures out of state for the first time this season when it travels east for CC's first-ever meeting with Villanova.
Friday's game kicks off at 3 p.m. ET/1 p.m. MT at the Higgins Soccer Complex and will be the Tigers' first game in the state of Pennsylvania since they played North Carolina State in Pittsburgh on Sept. 4, 2011. It also will be Colorado College's only game in the Eastern Time Zone this season.

The Tigers are 0-2-0 after dropping a pair of results to in-state rivals last week in the 2021 Colorado Cup. CC suffered a 3-1 setback at Northern Colorado in the season opener on Thursday night, then fell 1-0 in overtime against Colorado in a game played at the University of Denver on Sunday.
The last time the Tigers started 0-2 was during the 2013 season when they went on to finish with a 15-4-3 record and earn the program's 11th NCAA Tournament appearance.
Villanova is 2-0 for the first time since 2010. The Wildcats defeated Drexel University at home, 2-1 in overtime, in their season opener on Thursday, Aug. 19, then rolled to a 4-1 victory at the University of Delaware on Sunday.
Colorado College averaged 0.5 goals and conceded 2.0 per game in its first two games. However, the Tigers did produce a 19-17 edge in total shots and a 10-6 advantage in shots on goal. Sophomore forward
Lily Byrne struck for her first collegiate goal against Northern Colorado.
Senior forward
Jacqui Hand lead CC with four total shots, while sophomore forward
Haley Harnisch and first-year midfielder
Kaelin Woodruff launched three apiece.
Taryn Benham, a graduate transfer from Northern Arizona University, played every minute in goal and posted 1.92 goals-against average along with a .333 saves percentage.
Villanova averages 3.0 goals per game while conceding just 1.0. Freshman forward Lauren Belcuore leads the team with four points and a pair of goals, one of which was the game winner against Delaware. Senior midfielder Brice McInroy and senior forward Chloe O'Neill each have a goal and an assist. Freshman Francesca Yanchuk has a team-high two assists. Senior Megan McClay has played all 185 minutes in goal and has a 0.97 GAA and a .818 saves ratio.
Colorado College plays its home opener on Sunday, Sept. 5, when Cal Poly visits Stewart Field for a noon MT kick-off. The following Saturday, Sept. 11, the Tigers head to the Pacific Northwest for their final non-conference road game at the University of Portland. That game is scheduled for an 8 p.m. MT start.
