The Colorado College men's tennis team put together some great singles matches Friday, but the Tigers fell to Colorado Mesa, 7-0, at Pueblo City Park.

Nate Beerman lost the No. 2 match, 6-3, while CMU won the Nos. 1 and 3 matches by a 6-2 score.

Lucas Pastor came as close as anyone can without winning in each of his singles matches. Little put up a great fight at the No. 1 spot before falling to Steven Howe, 6-4, 6-7(5), 1-0(11), while Pastor came just as close at the No. 3 match, but lost to Christian Albrechtsen, 7-5, 5-7, 1-0(9).

Kaelin dropped a 7-5, 6-4 decision to Jorge Abreu at No 2, while Beerman took Tegan Hartman to a second-set tiebreak but fell 6-1, 7-6(4) at No. 6.

The Tigers (1-1) wrap up the 2021 fall season at the ITA Division III West Regionals, Oct. 1-3, in Claremont, Calif.
