Colorado College sophomore
Lucas Pastor capped his perfect weekend on Sunday by winning the final of the "B" singles flight at the ITA Division West Region Tournament in Claremont, Calif.

Pastor defeated Danny Marsh of Chapman University, 6-3, 6-3, in the championship match for his fifth consecutive victory. He lost just one set during his march to the title.

"Lucas went on a giant run of matches to win the 'B' draw," head coach Anthony weber said. "He had some struggles in his first day, but ran through the draw otherwise."

In one of the Tigers' most successful region appearances, Pastor's teammate,
Andrew Kaelin, won a pair of matches in the "A" singles flight before falling in the quarterfinals.

"We had the most successful trip to Fall Regionals since I've been at CC, and maybe ever," Weber said. "Most years we get one or two wins total between the four players we bring. This year, we had 10 wins with all four players winning at least two matches. I know our team competed in more meaningful matches in the fall than the other schools competing, and that experience showed. There is no replacement for match play, and I couldn't have been more proud of this group, and the teammates back in Colorado who helped them get ready to compete at a high level."
