The Tigers extend their unbeaten streak with a 5-1 victory over the Austin College Roos.
Jasper Broad made the start in goal for the Tigers and made one save in 75 minutes before
Brandon Burke played the final 15 minutes of the match.
Junior midfielder
Alexander Ward started the momentum early for the Tigers when he scored on a penalty kick in the fourth minute of the match.
"Getting ahead early really set the tone for the match," coach
Scott Palguta said. "We attacked pretty well, we weren't short on chances, that's for sure."
The second goal of the half came from freshman
Connor Webster, his first career goal, off a pass from fellow freshman
Rex Karjian in the 18
th minute.
Karjian scored a goal of his own in the 55
th minute with an assist from sophomore forward
Teddy Libby.
The lone Roos goal came in the 63
rd minutes from Michael Valencia.
Senior defender
Atticus Lynch took his turn finding the back of the net, unassisted in the 68
th minute. The final goal of the night came from sophomore defender
Curtis Hale in the 83
rd minute, off a pass from senior midfielder
Sajji Singh.
"Good start to the weekend and we need to turn around on Sunday and duplicate that effort." Palguta said.
The Tigers return to action on Sunday in their final home match of the season against the University of Dallas.
