The Colorado College women's soccer team kept its hopes for postseason play alive with a 1-0 victory Sunday afternoon over the University of Nevada in Reno, Nev.

Shalom Prince was credited with the game's lone goal with 12 minutes remaining in the second half. CC's
Lily Byrne sent a pass into the box that Prince and a Nevada defender arrived at simultaneously. The ball ended up rolling past Wolfpack goalkeeper Kendal Stovall, who came off her line to play the ball as well.

With Prince's fifth goal of the season, tying her for the team lead with
Adelaide Gaffney, the Tigers remained in a tie with Boise State for fifth place in the Mountain West standings. The two teams, which tied 0-0 earlier this season in Boise, sit one point ahead of seventh-place Utah State.

The Tigers currently hold the tiebreaker over Boise State due to a better goal differential in conference matches (4-3) and over Utah State thanks to a 1-0 victory over the Aggies in Logan, Utah. The top six teams advance to the league tournament in Albuquerque, N.M., starting Sunday, Oct. 30.

Senior goalkeeper
Ally Wakeman produced another outstanding match, making eight saves en route to her fifth shutout of the campaign, the most in by a Colorado College team in one season since 2019 (6).

"We are thankful to come out with the win today," head coach
Keri Sanchez said. "Nevada put us under a lot of pressure and forced a lot of mistakes on our part. I appreciated the way our team fought as we pushed until we got a goal and Ally made a few huge saves to secure the win."

The Tigers play their final regular-season match on Thursday, Oct. 27, against Air Force in the inaugural City For Champions Cup at Weidner Field in downtown Colorado Springs. The match is scheduled to begin at 6 p.m.
